Wow, March went by so fast! I'm slowly getting acclimated, drinking all of the water and trying to learn more and more to prepare for my job, but enough about that. For now, let's focus on the future and what April will hopefully bring.
// Have WIFI!! I know we live in the age where too many people are too connected to their devices, but after almost a month of only having my phone to use, I'm definitely ready for my pace to have wifi.
// No more boxes. I want to come home and not see a single moving box. I want to be unpacked and organizing rather than pushing a box around the floor because it keeps getting in the way.
// Jump back on the budget train. Moving is very hectic and can get rather expensive. I want to focus this month on spending money on the things I've budgeted for, not the "impulse items."
// Research travel ideas. Now that I'm more west in the USA it opens a lot of doors. However, I did look and getting to Hawaii is still the same price as Paris...I need to keep looking and comparing prices.
// Learn how to make a really good cup of french press coffee. I've had a french press for almost a year and I, sadly, haven't learned the proper way to make a great cup of coffee with it. I will this month!
// Be social. Moving is always hard from a social aspect. You miss the familiarity of places that you know and miss the friends you have in those places. The last time I moved I made the mistake of not getting involved much sooner, I don't want to make that mistake again here. I need to do more things earlier in my move that foster an environment where friendships can form.
// Finish one book. Due to the fact that I haven't had any internet in my apartment I've been using up my data, so much so that I've already gotten the warning that I've used 75% of my data until the 22nd of this month. 75%!!! How crazy is that, I'm clearly on my phone too much. If I'm being honest, I think the majority of that is from the ted talks I've been binging. Who doesn't love a good ted talk?! Still, I need to put the phone down and read something, actually read a book!
// Find a really good moisturizer and lotion. The air is so dry out here, which I love but also I need to keep my skin healthy without putting a bunch of chemicals on it. I think I'm going to go to lush on my days off this week and see what I can come up with. Any suggestions?
// Start checking into a good pair of hiking boots. When hiking season comes, whenever that is, I wan to be prepared. I love hiking!! I can't wait to explore all the beauty that's out there!
// Enjoy my time with my family. They will be coming during the middle of this month and I'm so excited. I don't want to think about it too much because I will already get sad thinking about them leaving, girl brain, but I'm excited to spend time with them in my new city!
What are your goals for this month?
